Fishing - Stream, lake, bait or fly whichever you prefer is all available here. Lake Success is a reservoir that can be found on the Success Dam. The latitude and longitude coordinates for this reservoir are 36.0605, -118.9193 and the altitude is 679 feet (207 meters). The Tule River flows down from the mountains into the area as well.

Golf - River Island Country Club offers an award winning, PGA rated 18 hole course. Also Porterville Municipal Course, Murray Park

Hang Gliding at Sick Rock - 5,000 ft West facing cliff launch. Long glide out to LZ with road. Flying in the giant Sequoias. Usually only flown in glass off conditions. H4 recommended, local guide recommended. Good XC potential.

Horseback Riding & Packing with Balch Park Packstation

Rock Climbing at world renowned Needles & Dome Rock in Sequoia National Forest. Take Hwy 190 up from Porterville. It's about 63 miles to the 21S69 junction. Turn left on 21S69.
